With gas here at $3.73/gal & climbing , I geuss I'm going to make a change. I drive a lot as an outside sales rep. Been driving a Chrysler Pacifica but it gets about 19 1/2 mpg. As much as I hate it , I geuss I'm going to have to get rid of it & get something that gets more like in the 30 range. I just hate sitting that low to the ground.

used to go the grocery store(walmart) once a week, its about a 35 minute drive to the nearest one....now when i go, i get enough groceries to last 2 weeks instead of one...people kinda look at you strange when you buy 6 gallons of milk and your cart is overflowing...but thats 2 less trips a month im making...also do all my other errands that same day...gone are my days of running to town for this today and that tomorrow...

We use our horses almost everyday of the year because we love it and also because we have to, to get to some of the places we run cows in.  I see a horse resurge on the horizon.  With these fuel prices it's gotta be cheaper to run a hayburner! <cowboy>

Sue, It definitely was not me in the ad.  I don't wear a gayass palmleaf!  That should have been a dead giveaway.  But I will still give you a complimentary autograph in Missourri. <cowboy>

Your kids could do a cut and paste project of you  for me to sign???
I thought the horse looked a little small or was it the guy that looked small in that photo? Either way I want my signature.

I wear a black felt hat most of the time.  Straw hat if its hot out and a ball cap from time to time.  Just trying to help you out with that mental picture, Aussie.

I'm glad all you guys are driving smaller vehicles. Now I won't feel as guilty taking up two parking spaces with my big truck, when I go to town, since you don't need the space any way.  ;D ;D

You think I could just take a team of horses and a group of cows around to keep all my lawn accounts maintained this summer? diesel is 4.20 here right now. When we fill the mowers, trimmers, blowers, truck it costs me well over 200.00 This happens about every 3 days for me. I want electric powered equipment!

I drive an 06 Lincoln Mark LT, and with gas at over $4.00, it kills me. I have to fill up every 5 days to get from high school to work and home. I would sell it, but I don't think I could pull my horse trailer with a little car..  ::). My sister drove an Expedition for 2 years and the gas was so expensive, my parents sold it and bought her a Toyota Carolla... So, yes, changes have been made; just not by me.

Trevorgrey, maybe you could just give your lawn clients a half price deal if they put up electric fence, you could rent them a cow or two to eat their grass.  Everybody wins. Their yard stays grazed down and you get paid to get your cows fed!  That is a "green" way of thinking!
