Has anyone that feeds the Fitters Edge noticed a change?  We've got some that was manufactured on June 8th - at first thought we just had a bad bag from the end of a batch, but it's all turning out to be the same - lots of fines, not much molasses, not much sign of cottonseed hulls...heifers don't want to eat it...really frustrating.  Just curious if anyone else has noticed the same, whether it's been re-formulated, whether this is a bad batch, etc.

In the Purina/Land o lakes corporate world I think confusion as to how their merger is being implemented is the rule. Quality control seems to be suffering as they decide what products stay and how they will be marketed is the questions that need answering. My dealer has told me that the Honor supplement I use will be discontinued come Sept or Oct. The next few months will see a flurry of activity in the merger process.

Mbar might have something to say on this subject since he has worked for Purina for some time and is going forward in the new combined venture. He is currently at Jr. Nationals (shorthorn) so it may be a day or two.

We've been feeding the fitters edge for at least 9-10 months.  It's been fine up until this last batch, that the tags on the bags are dated June 8.  We purchased this batch in mid-June.  We realize that the formula isn't supposed to change, but there could be production problems...this feed is DEFINITELY different than what we've been feeding since early last fall.  Where are you located / where is your feed produced?  Might come from a different plant than ours does.

ours comes from vandalia,IL. I've feed it for years and really never had a problem i started selling it 2 years ago and moved move a good bit. What i tell all my show feed customers is that if there is any problems let me know because as much as it cost it needs to be pretty darn good. And if i do have a problem Purina has always bent over backwards to help me. So i would go back to where you got it and if they don't help ya there is other Purina dealers that will. <hero>
