Here is Renegade. I cannot express how excited I am to have this bull and to have found this bull. I think he could be a huge difference maker in the breed and in commercial herds. He is currently being collected in Nebraska. They have good semen already and we will be ready to ship here soon.
Sire: Eionmor Marquis 86G
Dam: A&T Miss Obvious 725 (dam DRC 244MU and sired by Byland Mission) Miss Obvious is a maternal sib to A&T Captain Obvious.
We expect Renegade to be a good calving ease sire who will also have lots of performance.
BW: 78 lbs
EPD's
BW: - 0.7          WW: 19          YW: 29      Milk: 0

Thanks for the comments. I will definitely keep the updates coming. The plan is to keep a few of the TG/RRA Complete daughters back and breed them to Renegade. I also have about 13 black angus cross heifers he will be breeding this year and about 5 or 6 purebred Shorthorn heifers to breed him to.
I'm trying to decide how to market him because I think he has a lot of potential. Any suggestions???

Glad to finally see a picture of this bull I have heard so much about. I like him. I think how you market him is pretty straight forward for now. Until he is proven I would market him as a calving ease option toward commercial breeders. That bull would do alot of good on black cows as well as purebreds IMO. Thanks for sharing Josh.

Did ol A@T take that picture??? Mucho impresso in Ohio <rock>

Yeah, ol A&T took the picture. I definitely agree with you on marketing him as calving ease toward commercial breeders. I think this guy will have some really good growth also. Those epd numbers are pretty good and coming from a herd where they actually do mean something. We also have test data that A&T performed along with carcass data. I don't have it currently but it was pretty impressive for a calving ease bull. Not for certain on the frame score yet but I was thinking it was going to be around 5.7 to 5.9 or so? I definitely think this guy could be a Shorthorn/Angus F1 maker...

+1 I have been wanting to see something out of this mating for a while now.  Always though that it would be a good one.  <rock>

JTm. thanks for posting . I did see this bull in person and you have a treasure. In my opinion not a bull that should have left the sandhills of NE?? Naturally I would have to say... this is the best of the best for A&T. However A&T dabbled in some ( outcross/jsf)  short genetics that didnt hold a candle to the dover influence.  Watch for yet another 244MU family to "make a difference.  DRC just got it long before the rest.... the time clock is ticking. Best of luck Jtm

after having the opportunity to talk with you and your family the Ohio Beef Expo I know you all are pretty upstanding folks! You have a excellent business partner as in the "T" in the JT. Very dedicated. LOL!

This bull presents some interesting genetics on what is currently available today. thanks for allowing us the opportunity.

Haha, it was great meeting with you! What? Did she talk about how she has no idea what is going on with the cattle and never gets out to the barn anymore? Haha, she is the only reason we could even bring animals to OBE. I don't have the patience to work with the calves, I'm just too commercial minded, but she is great with working with the show cattle.

Sue, thanks a lot for the compliments! I will let you know about my bred heifer who is getting ready to have a 329 calf here soon. I think somebody could do some really interesting things breeding Renegade and 329 together. I know I will be...  (thumbsup)

I don't have the actual ww number anywhere I can find right now. I think there is only two on the weaning and yearling because A&T hasn't filled in the other 26 yet. Just guessing, not sure what his plans are on that.

Renegades actual weaning weight was 696 on September 9th.  There are only 2 bulls in his contemporary group because they were the only ones on donor cows that were left here at home on about an 80 acre pasture by my house.  I didnt see how it would be fair to contemporary group all the bulls together when some ran in 2200 acre pastures and had to walk several miles everyday for water.  None were creep fed but the 2 that stayed home had a definite advantage over the rest.  I tried to yearling contemporary all the bulls together but it doesnt work that way I guess??????????

Nah, if he wasnt coming to the ol Buckeye state then you wouldnt have any reason to come here either and that just wont work cheif.

700 lb ww is pretty friggin good out there in the sandhills amigo!!!! :) <beer> According to my Trevorgrey calculator.......that equates to alot of lbs per cow here in the salad bowl of Ohio!!!!
