4Ever Free activists, in an attempt to liberate 8 cloned Aurochs from an experimental hunting enclosure simulating Stone Age conditions, were trampled early this morning. A mock stone age tribe of graduate students who had been living in the on campus enclosure with the Aurochs for 11  months, were unable to prevent the escaping animals from attacking their would be rescuers. The small herd, consisting of 6 females and 2 males have not been recaptured.

Photo and update from BBC:
Dozens of 4Ever Free activists were again trampled while attempting to drive fugitive Aurochs to sanctuary atop Castle Rock. 5 were gored as they formed a human ring to protect the animals from a hungry "stone age clan" of University Students. One activist was treated for spear wounds. The rogue hunters continue to stalk the escaped Aurochs, despite police warnings that arrests will follow any feasting upon cloned meat.
"We see these developments as a opportunity to refine our conflict model" commented Professor William Wallace.

The March of science may have solved this problem already.  The vicious Heck cattle being sent to slaughter in Devon managed to destroy the truck and trailer hauling them to the meat plant. Through processes yet to be understood, they detected the scent of their Aurochs kindred or heard their battle cry from Castle Rock. The Heck cows broke through Hadrians Wall and are headed for Edinburgh to unite with the Aurochs bull, popularly known as Uber.
Authorities predict a long siege.

This is totally off topic (hijacking) but it has some reference to Aurochs and even a glimpse in the creation of Agriculture. It's actually about why our ancestors made the very first images.

An educational as well as entertaining BBC film. For those who have a little time.

A poor starving artist? I'll only think about it Knabe.

Cunia, like everything else, is telling a story. Very straight in his shoulder and bucking at the knees. Sounds familiar.

Do I see him having a rat tail as well.

IMO - An Achilles Heel for just about everyone who have used Clubby, Maine and some other breeds. It's really impossible to breed these characteristics out when he is so saturated in the gene pool.

If you are wanting a dispersal sale, Cunia wound be the man for you.

Cunia could be a direct decendent of the very first domesticated Aurochs. The ones that could not run from the spear.
