How do the heads look on calves after the horns / scurs fall off? Considering banding a few show prospects to reduce stress and wondering if they end up square headed or if they look acceptable. thanks for any input.

Last time we had any calves born with horns(before this current spring's crop) was about 10 years ago.  Took 'em off with elastrator bands.  Worked fine for my purposes, but did have that 'square-headed' appearance - and blunt scur regrowth.  Not an issue for a commercial cow; probably not desirable for a show calf.
