Barn Camera

Here's the setup I need.  I want to be able to check the cool room from my computer or smartphone.  My showbarn is less than 400 ft from our house with clear line of sight.  I want to put a camera in my coolroom with infared night vision.  At this time our wifi does not reach the barn but I am pretty sure I can overcome that obstacle.  The cooler is made from grocery store walk in cooler panels and they are fairly thick.  How can I get signal from inside the cooler to the outside?  What camera and equipment do I need?  Any suggestions?  We currently have the uniden system in our pens and it's hooked to a monitor in the house but I need something in the Coolroom that I can check when I am away from home.

A friend of ours just put on the same monitoring device lthat hog units use it calls him in case of a power outage or if the temp gets above a certain level. I know they work pretty well since I use to manage a large hog unit and would get calls for all sorts of things. I know there are a couple of different companies that also do it.

We have the SensaPhone unit.  It calls with temp. and power changes.  I am looking for a camera unit for the Coolroom that will connect to wifi.

I have a couple and they work outstanding.  Can check from iphone or android.

I bought a couple of the camera linked in this thread on Jasons recomendation.  Work great!  They have extra stenth antennas available for your distance.  Do you have a device that can test wifi at the camera location?  (Iphone,ipod?)  There are range extenders available if there is no signal there.

These cameras go on sale every once in a while for 59 to $69.
