I have been out of the showring for about 15 years now.  Now with a daughter that may want to show one day I need to brush up on my judging ability.  Things have changed quite a bit since I was active.  Does anyone know of any workshops or anything I could attend that may help?  Thanks

Try to catch a show or two and try to place the cattle to see how much rust you may have to knock off. You are more than likely now as far removed as you think. Good cattle are good cattle and always have been. Trends come and go with slight adjustments.

Where do you live? There is normally a clinic on fitting and such at the Royal. Um, shows like Louisville and Kansas City are coming up. It is sale season. You could just wonder around at sales, listen to people and hang out. Now if you are wanting a judging like situation, there are some videos and info sheets from colleges and stuff. And, I found this website- http://www.livestockjudging.com/. Wonder if it is helpful?
