My buddy had one that is very dissapointing.  lt is hard to judge a bull by one or four calves.... but when you bought high dollar semen last spring in an auction and use it on your best cow and
get a dud it does hurt.  Part of the buisness when your shooting for a great one.  lf you look at the bim calves on rogers site they are very, very nice.  l look at these extreme bulls as if your swinging for
fence sometimes you hit a home run, sometimes you head back to the dug out with your tail between your legs.  l have Walks and BIM in my tank but only use it on a few cows to try and hit a homerun
and stick with other bulls for the majority of my clubby breeding.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't understand the Diluter gene very well @ all, but if the Char cow is of the chocolate grey color, isn't she more than likely the contributor of the gene to the calves and if the Char. cow was of the yellow color you could take that out of the equation? Was the Dam chocolate color? Do both sire & Dam have to be diluter carriers to get the phenomenon known as rat tails?

The reason it seems unlikely to me is that every calf came out that way. If true, sorry about your luck.

Dam is purebred, so that takes the smoke question out.  Just seemed odd to me the all of them were rats,,and none of the monopoly were,,,I will say if they had hair they could have been great ones.  Stout good made calves

I really like my WALK ALONES on pb CHAROLAIS cow ,Hoodoo x 9108 cow ,had 5-6 best looking calves for clubby deal, used different cow for MONOPOLY THIS year
trying to add some power ,black cow did the best job so far ....WA'S run over gestation and are pretty healthy even out of cows ....That genetics can really give you fits with some matings ....

Im a semen rep for Wade Rogers owner of BIM and Walks Alone. We were talking about bulls lasst night because a friend of mine has some old school french bloodlined char cows and he didnt want a rat tail either, Wade told me the bull in his battery to bred your char cows to this year is TWO TONE! he doesnt think you will get very many rat tails at  all out of him plus you will get added power and some cool colored up calves

What does the test to determine whether or not for sure he is or is not a diluter carrier cost?
