Best bull to have in a cows pedigree?

Who is the best bull to must have in a cows pedigree to produce the best club calves and make club calf mommas?

Not that I know a lot about this but have talked to people who love a Meyer Simmental bull.

WMW should be on the short list.

anyway, I am actually looking for a great Heat Wave female btw if anyone has one they want to unload...th positive preferred..I have a charolais bull I want to try on one...

WMW, Irish Whiskey, Meyer, Strictley Business, EXT, or some variety of simmy angus. Have also seen some nice full flush cows at an "old cowboys" place west of McCook, NE <beer>

I don't know if I'd want HW on my cows pedigree...he's a terminal sire and in general (not all of them) the cows don't milk that great.  I'd use him on these "ideal" cows.

Heatwave is unquestionably a terminal bull remember you want females that are able to milk good while maintaing there body condition. As well with the genetic defects it is much easier keeping your females Just a thought

If we see any Heat Wave in a pedigree, we just turn the page on move on. He's a maternal  deal breaker for us pedigree wise, but I know some PPL like HW females.

What about Aftershock or the Radar, Whiplash, Backlash for cows?  A little Cunia, a little angus, and a shot of meyer. 

I like the way Lost Farmer thinks.

The breeder of the Whiplash/backlash bulls also has an Irish Whiskey son out of the same old mother cow.  I met the guy that set her up and flushed her a couple times and in his opinion that cow would make them good out of a yellow dog.  I want that in my cow side. 

I think if one is to look back at the last twenty plus years, they would have to say Cunia is the king of all the maternal bulls. He's in Whiplash, Maines, Shorthorns, Angus, Who Made Who, Heat Wave  and many other cross genetics. There is nothing that can touch him when it comes to showring/clubby genetics especially on the cow side. He can also work the other way around, on the top side of the pedigree.

cunia gets some downgrades for the front teats from some oldtimers.

I know Pistol Pete females get a bad rap on their udders after a certain age, but I've seen some really good cattle out of those cows!  Bad Medicine cows aren't bad either.
