Hello everyone, just looking to get your opinions.  What are some of the best cow lines/families around?  Cows that are hot now but also are not going out of style anytime soon.  I am starting to put together a herd, not really tied to any breed.  Looking to try to raise show steers/heifers.  Also registered cattle.  So what are some cow lines that are good phenotypically as well as production and history.  Some may have one cross that really works, and some may work on everything.  Feel free to add any info as to why you like them.

For Example some I thought would fit this would be

Who Made Who cows
Irish Whiskey cows
602 cows
Also what are some purebred lines you guys like?

Meyer 734 daughters for simm.

From what I know, they've never been used heavily in the Purebred deal.  Absolutely fantastic for crossbred or clubby cattle though.

You still can't convince me that Who Made Who is a good line for cows. Sure there are some good ones out there but for as widely used as he was there should be.

I try to stay a distance from the Who Made Who lines, due to structure problems, however I will agree that his good daughters are some of the club calf deals best mothers. We have daughters of Ali, Lifeline, Maine Break and AfterShock that are doing a good job. I know that there are many others that work well, but we haven't used them yet.
