We bought an Angus pair sight unseen through a dispersal for $1800. The first calf she had at our place sold for 35k as a bred. we have also sold around 20k in embryos and only sold 4 packages of 3. plus we have several cows in the herd out of her

That's awesome.  Mind sharing a pic of her.  I'm intrigued.  Why do you think she sold so low?

The first shorthorn bull I bought GB Dazzler 120.  I stopped out at Gordon Brockmueller's, late in the spring of '02 and everything was pretty well picked over.  I picked up a roan bull for $900 that everyone passed over because of color and he was horned.  Turns out he was a full brother to GB Orchid.  He made some great females.  I only wish I would have collected him.
