Best Prospect - Club Calf Bull

Pick one bull (maybe two) that you think might  be a superstar  in the next year or two(but semen is readily available and typically priced now), along the lines of a Monopoly for example.

My vote is Eye Candy.  I'll give runner-up status, just for fun, to BoJo.

Tell me yours cause I'm planning how to stock my tank for next season!

I had to think about this one awhile. My vote is for the Amen bull. His dam really helps his resume.

I've never guessed correctly at this, so I hope I didn't just put a curse on the bull....

My vote is Eye Candy too.  I've seen ALOT of good ones out of him.

There are a couple bulls that have alot riding on them to preform. Boardwalk, simple math, and smilin bob. I think all three of these bulls were used a lot this year and they must preform.

What I like about Smilin Bob is that the owners were not afraid to show him off. He just looked super in the video with no holes. He's a cool lookin little dude and my pick to sire some good ones.

Define "superstar" for me please!  Does that mean sire the winner at Denver? or at Lousville? Maybe Houston? Or all three? 
Does that mean have lots of calves that do really well in both the pasture sales and shows, or does that mean has one or two high sellers only to be never heard from again?
Maybe it means calves are born unassisted and doesn't kill the cow?!

I have looked back through some of my old semen catalogs and magazine and get a laugh out of all the "next best things" that slipped into the background without a peep!  So, it probably depends on who takes a chance and uses the young bull, and how good of promotion is behind both the bull and the calves.  Might not have much to do with the actual bull!

simple math will be around for awhile just cuz of the way he is bred.
amen really looks good i see him like a point taken type of bull.
smilin bob heard too many good things and bred to tooo many cows for him not to stick around

How many of these bulls when bred to some of the best cows pop some calves,  then when they hit the mass market and tank bred to just average cows.  Bulls that improve everything and work on many cattle types are rare.  The fact that we are playing with crossed up genetics on crossed up cattle the repeatability of many of these bulls is the pits.

I am going out on a limb hear and saying True Blood. I know that there are a lot of bulls bred like him but I think that he has the look  (lol)

Smilin Bob because I think he is a bull that you can breed to any size cow. boardwalk should be popular but should downsize like his sire.

I hear what you are saying.  By "superstar" I mean simply becomes popular in use to such a degree, and gains such a strong reputation that everybody uses him, want's his calves to show, and the price goes up way past the normal straw costs.

boardwalk and Amen...but I will have to say im curious to see what salty dog throws, deff. not on my top list of bulls...but may be interesting :-\
