help on angus bulls

I was thinking of buying some heifer sexed semen to get angus females.  I am considering using Net Worth, BC Eagle Eye and PVF Payday.  Give me your opinions

Eagle Eye gets my vote...got 2 bulls and a set of twins, not a bad one.  Really thick and stout...got a bull that weaned off adjusted to 837 lbs and looks like a heat wave!  If you use Payday, use him on some bigger ribbed cows and you'll be ok.  The Payday females are much better than the bulls in my opinion.  I think Genex has a special on right now with Eagle Eye sexed semen for what it's worth too...  Hope it helps!

If I had my pick out of that bunch I'd go Net Worth all the way.  The only thing I would watch out for is the disposition of the female.  If she's got some attitude I wouldn't do it.

Eagle Eye seems to throw the type I like. I also purchased some sexed semen this year and will be breeding some heifers next year. Love the calves out of him that I have seen so far.

I know Eagle Eye's birth epd suggests he could be used on heifers, but in my experience you better keep an close watch on them if you do.  My 2 bull calves were 88 and 93...but out of cows that went 8 days overdue.  A friend got a bull calf too, but he was about 80 lbs.  I guess with the sexed semen hoping for females, the heifers should be lighter.  Still, I'd keep a watch on them, as I don't think he is a "bet the farm, sure fire calving ease" bull!
