no, this isn't a racist thread. Is anyone going to brave the crowds to start Christmas shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving? I've heard that some retailer have already slashed prices to get people shopping.
Me, I'll never attempt all the crowds. all my shopping will be done over the internet. Most will get gift cards but they seem to appreciate those more than stuff they can't us.
Woody & KK have already started their lists. I will not get Killer the bear trap he has requested. Most of his involves catnip in some form. I hate to feed his nip addiction. Woody wants bones, treats & more toys to destroy. He did request that by all means no sweaters. Both the blue heeler & the barn kitten will get something a little special that day too.

If anyone is looking for gift ideas, the ear warmer you suggested last year that you could wear with a ball cap was a great idea.  Just a note on the gift cards, they say with so many companies going under right now that a prepaid mastercard or visa works great because they aren't associated with a certain company.  Oh and NO I will not be braving the crowds on Friday!

My Son-in-law and I will be at Walmart when the doors open for a Polaroid 42" Widescreen 1080p LCD HDTV - $598.00

I want to be as far away from that as I can.  I plan to be in a marsh somewhere waiting on some ducks to come in.

The way they do it in this area, the store is open but the sale stuff is loaded on pallets and covered where you can't get it until it's time.

That makes sense to me.. I can honestly say I've never been inclined to be the first one to the items or thru the door on this day...  I just looked at the items and don't think I'm going to try it this year either.  My sister on the other hand will even camp in the parking lot...

I'm going be at Hooters watching the Nebrasaka game along with all the other men who could care less about anything other than beer, hot wings and football.

Knabe- I'm sure he's going to Hooters more for the waitresses than anything else!  ;)

And here I thought Dusty was one of those guys that would be more than happy to escort a woman on a shopping trip to carry packages & hold her purse.    ;) ;D ;)

It's usually the B squad working whenever I go, so, i don't really go for the waitresses...  I like the wings though.

They quit asking me to go with after one trip when I proceeded to negotiate with the cashier at every store that day.  They would give me the total and I would say: "ok we can start there, no what could you really do?" and so on and so on....

hmm, you'd fit right in with my sister and aunt.  can i hire you as a replacement?

my aunt is one of those ladies who don't like to be called a woman, but prefers girl instead.

my sis just got back from christmas shopping all over new mexico.  they stopped near eagle's nest where the water in a creek flows on top of a felled tree. anyone ever see that?

i'll try and get my sister to send it to me.  my aunt and grandma used to stop there every time they went on vacation near there.  totally awesome.
