I have a heifer that is bred and about 2 months along, tonight I found some blood in her manure. We haven't changed her diet at all, but he have changed up the hay a little bit. She doesn't act sick and hasnt missed a beat with her feed. Should i be worried???

Blood in her stool could be an ulcer. We had one come in to weigh-in s acting fine... Saw some blood in his stool and that was it's problem. I have never had blood in a calfs stool personally but wouldn't think it would translate to a breeding issue.

Is it in the stool or just a little on top? If its in it it could be the starting satges of coccitiosis(sp?), but just a little on top is usually caused by stress of some sort. Ive never seen the ulcer thing, but it makes sense. i wouldnt be too worried, but in case of coccitia, pour some chorid in the water trough, u can get this at  ur feed store.

Had blood in stool last summer, just a little streaking.  Ran a culture that showed no to little cocci but did come up with worms.  A culture is cheap if you want to know for sure.

Take a stool sample in a zip lock bag to your vet.  More than likely its Coccidiosis and/or worms.  Easy enough to cure with 5 - 7 days of Corid in the feed and Safe Gaurd or your wormer of choice.  Theres a lot more cocci around than people like to think.  Easy enough to cure but a pane.
Ours get a round of Corid about every 60 days if they are in the show barn.  All the fancy additives in the world won't help if the rumen can't fully absorb and utilize them.

I agree start with the Corid it is easy to give and should cure the problem if it s coccidiosis.  Deffinately worm her as well.  Once this is done just watch her close.  Good luck
