We clipped up our Bloodstone X Dream Lady 420 heifer for the first time today.  A little tough getting a good picture as she wouldn't relax out on the grass by herself.

She was born on March 1st.  I've been impressed with her depth of  body and width across her pins for a calf her age.    This heifer would be a full sib to the  heifer the Udell family purchased in the Cyclone Trace sale last fall and  has been showing so successfully this year here in Iowa and the surrounding states. We just put in a full sib embryo to her last week for 2012.  Hope it turns out as well as this one.

Looks like the pregnancy you priced was a bargin! Like most of my recent pursuits to little to late. Nice heifer Lynn!

Really nice female. Looks soft made with good rib. Really pretty extended up front. Real stand out with her coloration.

Thanks for all the nice comments folks!  I think this Bloodstone heifer is probably the deepest ribbed calf at  this age that I've ever raised.  She just seems to get deeper and softer made every time I look at her.  I'm also impressed with the width of her pelvic structure and the strength of her lower quarter.  She is my co-favorite heifer this year!  We also have an Ali heifer out of our Ace of Diamonds  show heifer from last year that has all the local jockeys buzzing.  The Ali heifer's pix did not turn out well on Friday---long day with the clipping, etc. I guess.  We'll try again this weekend.
