Boar goats?

Don't know much about goats other than i like fitting them. Do they have to be slick sheared to show or can you grow hair n show em hairy like cattle?  Thinking about buying one to show...

From the shows that I've watched, breeding females tend to be hairy (though not as hairy as cattle) and market wethers/does need to be slicked. I believe they were originally a desert breed, so it takes a lot of work to grow hair on them, but I have seen it done.

I don't show them but we have boers.  They can grow hair for sure.  Hairy buggers are starting to shed now and I could fill a garbage bag off each one I think.  Keep in mind I live where it's below freezing 6 months of the year though...
