A friend of mine sells the boss blowers and they are a good deal made right and will hold up also. Prolly the hardest blowers. My friend tells me that you can blow a 1200 lb. steer in about 20 mins. with a regular blower and the boss magnum will do the job in about 12 mins.....

Wish they would add a speed control so you it wouldn't flip breakers.

A boss blower is a decent blower. Ours has had alot of trouble with motors ,it is 3 years old. I still think it's very hard to beat a double blower system. The 4 switches help with  not blowing fuses and the double system blows a lot more air. Hard to beat a air express double blower for reliability at a fair price.  That's  why when u go to a show 90 percent of the blowers are double blower air express

We use the Sullivan's Air Express because we know at most major shows Sullivan's will be there and if something goes wrong we can get it fixed. We don't use a double blower setup because they just blow the breakers at most shows....

I have seen the Boss in action and it is a good blower, just wont be able to find parts when at a show.

I've used a Boss blower for over 5 years. Runs like when it was new. Only thing, it will flip breakers at older facilities. To beat it you have to buy the two blower systems.

FWIW: I bought a "canister" unit at the same time as the Boss. Ran 14 months before blowing a motor. Got that fixed and it ran less than a year before it quit. Sold it for $25 so a guy could use it for parts. Been using the Boss solo ever since with no hiccups.

I have a Boss Magnum and a single Sullivan Express III.  The magnum has great power and heat, works great when needing to dry a calf fast.  Need to plug it into 2 different breakers to work best, we usually plug into generator. It takes up less space than the Sullivan double.  In the summer, the air can get very hot on a hot day, dries fast, but may be hot on the calf.  We use the Sullivan single when blowing final bloom into the calf, the Boss blows too hard for this imo, but will work if needed.  Brent Langman from Pro-Fit supply in Il is who I bought mine from.  Had numerous challenges with poor hoses for a while which Boss fixed and Brent bent over backwards to get me going.  New style hose is no problem now.  I would recommend him to anyone.  His number is 773-251-3709.  When you compare a magnum to the double sullivan with stand and y hose, cost is close.  Like anything, no one tool is best for everything, but I like mine.

ive heard both sides of spectrum, people that hate the boss, and people that like it. the one that hates it, runs the air express and the boss blowers, he will always grab the air express hose before the boss, he never told me why exactly he hated the boss, i'm guessing the circuits, and too much heat.

i personally run double air express set up. the first yr and a half we could run the double system we had to use them as singles, our y kept blowing apart on us from the heat, (one of the blowers is old and it heats up way hotter than the newer one, it also pulls more power), at state last yr i spent my show stuff investment money on getting the cart with the metal y, haven't had a problem since.. only thing is circuits at most shows, and even our barn, we gotta have each blower plugged into it's own circuit, and we keep the generator with us just in case we still got issues. i gotta run to another county show in less than a week and i'll take it off the double hose for that, those barns have major power issues. and my county ill end up running to single blowers. that's another plus its pretty easy to switch from double to single blowers, with the boss you can't do that.

It wont be to much longer before the major shows in Texas limit the number and type of  blowers you can bring to prevent the power issues, It really pisses me off when I can use a single blower and get our calves dry and then someone decides they need to run a double blower setup and trip every breaker in the barn!!!
