Title: Breeding Maine Anjou to Simmental
Post by: oscar3099 on May 09, 2018, 04:31:09 PM
We have a herd of Maine Anjou cattle in which I am considering to start breeding to a Simmental bull.  What Simmental bulls work good with Maine Anjou influenced cattle.  I prefer to breed to "clean" bulls.......all my cows are TH and PHA free.  What genetic defects do Simmental have?   Any insight would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

This bull has some Simmental (Meyer 734 via Summit's maternal line and SVF Steel Force via Whizard) in his pedigree:
