Howdy everyone! I'm looking for breeding opinions for this gal both now and down the road. Considering a flush at some point, most likely after she has a natural calf. I know that I've been out of the show game a while, so I'm gonna play dumb and start out at square 1! I'm looking to make show calves with her. Maybe I've lost my mind, but I think she's got potential. I would like to keep her calves purebred, but if there is a bull of another breed that you think would make killer calves, don't hesitate to suggest a few! What bulls would you use if she were yours? All opinions and suggestions are welcome!

DOB:3/19/2016

She is Macho X Rendition on her sire's side and Uprising X JM Dice H25 L24 (Same dam as Miley Cottontail) on her dam's side.

I have attached her original picture and video even though they are both probably 5-6 months old.

Fire away! And thanks in advance!  ;D

Just to get things rolling, I'm currently considering these bulls, since I have them in stock already:

WLE Uno Mas (sexed)
Hook's Blackhawk (to make breeding stock)
SVF/NJC Built Right
CNS Dream On
MR HOC Broker (NOT for her first calf)
Yardley High Regard (Again, NOT for her first calf)
HTP/SVF In Dew Time
W/C Lock Down
JF American Pride

Some others I'm wondering about are:
Steel Force
Pays To Believe
JF Milestone (Anyone have semen?)

Can't go wrong with Broker on her.

W/C Relentless would be one I'd like to see and S&S Sweet Dreams

For cows I'd say Built Right, Milestone, and Steel Force should make em right.

Edit to add: Bandwagon is another one I'd like to see

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Just curious, how are Broker daughters as cows? MM EPD seems kinda low.

What are the Relentless calves looking like?

Anyone know where I can get Milestone semen?

I haven't personally owned any. A buddy of mine sold 5 calves that were dandys. I only saw them once but was very impressed.

I am just beginning to breed some simmental genetics and I only have one calf out of this bull but she's a stud.

W/C Innocent Man.

Has some of the bloodlines you seem to be interested in above and is heifer safe.

At the TN sale this weekend they sold several lots of 5 straws, most consigned by Hudson Pines Farm. I picked up 5 straws, paid $40 a straw for it. He is usually a lot higher than that!

she would make some very good 1/2 bloods with PVF Insight just saying. (clapping)

Thank you for the suggestion! I'll look into it! I haven't had a chance to see many Inisght 1/2 bloods, how does he cross with Simmis? Would Style be a good one too?

I would second the vote for Innocent Man for her first calf. They come easy and are very complete and stylish.

I love the Relentless calves I have and will breed back most cows I used him on last year. I would highly recommend him. Bonus- every cow with white on their face had baldy calves.

Anyone know of anywhere I can find female sorted semen on Innocent Man or No Remorse?

Thanks again for the opinions! I'll look into Innocent Man a little bit more!  (thumbsup)

Also, how are the Innocent Man calves growing for y'all?
Progressing good, however she will be more moderate built when it's all said and done.

Does he tend to moderate frame? I just don't want minis! (lol)

Also, I'd be curious to see pictures if you have some and want to share!

My Innocent man is is pretty moderate framed.

I have some sexed No Remorse I'd let go if you want. And I'm close to you so you could come get it and save some shipping.

This is all based off judgement of a 3 month old calf keep in mind. But I'd say in this case he didn't take away frame but he didn't add any. Calf isn't a shrimp by any means but doesn't appear to be large framed. Had her in by a similar aged Stock Broker hfr this morning and the SB was minimal larger.

I'll see about a picture sometime. We've had 4+ inches in last week, everything is a mess.
