After my show heifers have their first calf to an easy calving angus bull, what should I breed them to? For showsteers? I am also going to attach some pictures of them and their sisters later. I don't have any right now. All of them could use an improvement in depth and muscle (Not that they are lacking, just want more).

Uno (Meyer 735 x Commercial simangus) - Pretty Thick, big hipped, powerful, average depth could use some stretching out and prettying up. Brockle face with white belly and white socks

Kristy (Driver x Discovery) - Super feminine and pretty heifer. Very long and smooth made. Needs to be a little thicker, needs more depth, needs more muscle. Solid Black with a small white patch around udder

*Discovery is a (Ali x Harrietta)
*Meyer 735 is a (3C Macho x Irish Whiskey) PHA carrier

My ideas have been Point Taken, Monopoly, Moto Moto or Pericles, or Man Among Boys. Any suggestions welcome although I do want a black or black and white calf so no roans or char x. No horns; a couple of Uno's 1/2 sisters had horns.

I do want to be able to have to option to keep the heifers so no bulls that have terrible daughters. No Eye Candy and no PHA. TH is ok. Need excellent  dispositions. Safe For Second Calvers. No midgets and no crazy color. Is that too many qualifacations?  (lol)

Thankyou for your help.

bump.

Judge commented (after show was over) that Uno has too much angle to her hock. Every single judge has said that Kristy has really good structure.

I would go either unstoppable, or MAB and for your clean bull go with timesaver

I'd go point taken on both of them. From what I've seen out of him he will give you everything you'll want in both of them.

I tend to lean on this pretty hard but I am unsure if I can get the depth that I need.

I like the bottom heifer the best. I wouldn't use Monopoly semen, for price reasons, on unproven females. I think MAB would give you the chance of black and white but could also give you the chance of a crazy color. I think MAB would really let you know whether they will produce or not, as he has been pretty consistent.

Muddy Creek - So did about every one else that saw the two  (thumbsup). They are both dog tame but I couldn't be out here every day. Based on the amount of success I have seen with MAB and Point Taken I think that I will probably be AI'ng all of the cows to one of those 2
