I have a have a pb shorthorn cow, she is a SULL GNC SOLUTIONIST ET x 3BC KILLIAN LILY 0103. Her registration number is x4181883 if you want to look it up.
I am looking at breeding her clubby, but a pb shorthorn would not be out of the question either...  I posted a picture of her breath easy calf that she had about a week ago. I am breeding for her second calf, I originally was going to breed her to monopoly 2, but now I'm thinking maybe there is something better out there that I dont know about. I am open to all recommendations, thanks in advance! Also Steers/Heifers don't matter to me. I can pick for one and I'll get the other haha so something of both worlds. THANKS!

Looks like she's got a little Junk in tha trunk, so Monopoly 2 or I 80 wouldn't be bad options.  If she were mine, I'd breed her to one of those two, or to my herd sire.  There's some BW on both sides of that pedigree, so for her 2nd calf, I would still make sure whatever bull you pick has at least reasonable CE.

Thanks, that's why I'm thinking something different than monopoly. That bigger birth weight makes me nervous... I was kicking around the idea of I80 & sons, or possibly believe in me or 2 tone...

Bodacious or I80. Really liked this heifer when I saw her this fall at your place, still really do...she has potential.

Monopoly really isn't all that bad for BW. Two Tone would freak me out, he looks like a brick with a big fat head and big fat feet.  Probably good for steers, but he'd make me nervous on a 3 year old Shorthorn.

Just one out of him this year...but she is one of the best calves I have ever had at this point. I will definitely use him more in the future.

I personally like the starburst idea for a purebred. I was out at Robinette and Kolts Red Dirt sale and the two starburst calves really impressed me. The Starburst bull sold for 6000. A heifer or bull from your cow and Starburst could be really good. Jmo

If  I were you i think I would breed her to Jake's Proud Jazz or  Little Cedar Aviator 503X. You will get some nice show calves from both of them, if you want to she some Aviator calves look at Sullivan's NO BULL Sale.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didnt weight the calf, I did assist her a little bit though. I'd say the calf was around the 75-80 ball park.

If she were my cow and I was breeding her for a calf that didnt matter if it was a steer or heifer, I think I would either hit her with Man Among Boys, Bojo(seen some great ones on shorty cows) or for a Clean option, I would try Grizzly Bear from Lautners on her! Get Your Shine on would work great on her, he is at my place now, but semen wouldnt be available until Later June! Thank You Mr. Tenenbaum for his recommendation!
