Bull BIG RIVER

Has anyone ever seen the bull "Big River" ? I know that some said at denver this year that he was the best calf on display. Did anyone use him to breed for next spring? Any mature pics available?

good looking bull, never heard of him till now. glad to know hes out there.

We purchased Big River from Colby Collins in Denver last year. We felt he was one of the best club calf bulls out there. We have not got any recent pics of yet, we just pulled him off cows in August, he succesfully cleaned up 35 head of cows in the Oklahoma heat this year and looks really good and very hairy. I know Colby has flushed some of his really good cows to him and we used him heavily on our club calf cows.
We feel like he is unique due to his incredible soundness, his is virtually perfect in the angle to his pasterns, knee, shoulder and hock, and still freaky enough to be a show steer producer. He is big legged, big footed, extreme in his extension of neck without being choke necked and tight hided. He is soggy middled and thick hipped. But the one area he was way different than so many bulls on display this year was his size. Though he is not a giant by any means, he appeared to be one of the few new clubby bulls that shouldn't down size the cows.
We are very excited about him and are anticipating good things next spring. If anyone is interested in semen it can be purchased from us or SEK.

Any calf pics yet??

Like to see some calves-although we know how bad the heats been Overall-how was his calving ability-did they come out OK from cows? Hes definitely cool looking-and has some needed maternal -plus good-on the bottom. O0

i think him and dirty politics are two of the best bulls out there that no one has been talking about very much i think as far as a group of bulls wade still is at the top i wouldn't take any attention away from this bull tho he looks like one to watch for heat wave on wmw has worked multiple times and i like the pistole pete in the background good luck with him intrested in seeing some calves! (clapping)
