I got some semen from a guy the other day.  There are two units of a bull called cub in the tankl.  I think he is a mid-continent bred bull, but not sure?  Anybody got any info on cub?

apparently there were a lot of cub offspring to a cow called"116" that were great...MCF recently cloned 116 and I think the clone is about 2y/o now....you will see a lot of mention of cub116 offspring,,,, the greatness of those cattle may have been more from 116 than cub because cub didn't cross to other females as well.... this is my understanding... would love to here any other thoughts

Cub was like alot of bulls,if he connected, you culd have a home run",but he seemed to connect sparingly and he could take a perfectly sound cow and the calf could be a train wreck. Lots o f structure prblms.

Every now and again you would get a great one, then you would have to try and figure out to catch it and tame it down without getting your head kicked in.  Most "tame" cubs still preferred running you over to thinking about standing still.

He worked really well for us back on some High Roller/Simmi cows.  I had several females from that mating that were really good.  I just have one direct daughter left, and a couple of her daughters - I didn't keep any daughters of the others because of their udder quality - they milked good but had some big teats (which could've come from lots of places in that equation).  We sold several steers out of him, too, and I do recall some of them having some attitude - not impossible to handle, just enough to be a pain.  Structure wise, we didn't get any major problems, but I know some did.
