Here is a picture of our 1/2 blood Simi Macho Son that we will have at the Cattlemans Classic this coming February.  Tell me what you think of the bull and this picture for the catelog.  I like the pose, not sure about the quality of the photo.

Thanks,

RSC

also...one other thing i noticed....the background underneath his belly is too light....it kind of blends in with the white on his belly and i think makes him look higher flanked than what he really is...and if the catalog is going to be a black and white pic i think that would not be too flattering....jmo....

(nice looking bull  <cowboy>)

I don't like the light or background,  I waited till Grant came home from school and then we started running out of light.  Darn,  I hate to fit him up again but we should probably try again.

Here's another, light is better but background isn't.

RSC- is there any way that you could take his picture without a halter? Personally, I think cattle look much more natural and appealing when they stand that way on there own. I know on some it is hard to get them to do that, but what if you try getting them excited. Shake the feed bucket around, introduce him to someone he does know, etc. Just stand far back, get down on one knee and zoom in for the shot. I think you'll come out with a much more natural picture that will show he VERY POSITIVE TRAITS better. Nice Bull!

Maybe if you could stand him in front of a building or something with a solid background. With his white underbelly, the lighter backgrounds make him look shallow, which he is not. Also, I would set the back leg closest to the camera back a tick. Our sale catalog guy tells me a good picture is worth $500, but a bad one will cost you $500. When will you be at the classic? We'll be there with braunvieh on weds and thurs.  Very nice bull.

combine the rear end leg placement of the first photo with the second photo front feet placement. the first photo he's leaning too far forward.  he's a little tight roundy muscled for me.  and if he's naturally standing in photo2, he's a little under himself for yet, yet he's a little too straight there.  i'm probably wrong though.

RSC, Will thinks he is round on the hip, and wonders if you could fill in the flank with black to make him look deeper gutted.  Also i think if you would stand out in front of him his head would not turn to the rear.  good bull (clapping)

I think on second glance I like the first one better. I'd still put that back foot back a tad, but not much it's pretty good, and his front feet are perfect. you might could just clean up the back ground.
