Has anyone used Slider on angus heifers/cow to produce show steers? What’s your opinion of calves?

JMO, I don't think he will throw enough power to compete with the clubbies in the steer ring. Better for the heifer and CE part of the equation.
JRAPP can tell you more. Hopefully he'll chime in for you. They own at least part of Slider.

Check out BCII's Next Up Angus bull. He seems to add a lot of muscle and power to shofter made females. We used him on a simmi cow last year and that bull calf was stout and stylish.

I bred and own Slider and appreciate your interest.  Slider has worked extremely well on heifers and the quality of offspring have been outstanding.  Slider sired 4 National Champions in 2017 in both the Angus ring and the Shorthorn Plus show circuit.  I have pictures of Slider offspring breeders have sent in many different matings and breeding programs.  You can pm me if you have any specific questions I can answer for you.  I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.  Thanks dave
