I have a half dozen shorthorns I need a bull for. They all go back to Double Vision, I also need the bull to be red, or orange(char influenced) but not smoke. I dont want blacks. Also needs to be double clean. My head hurts from looking so thought this may give me some other directions to look at. Also I dont want a PB shorty, the cows are all red roan and I do not want white calves.

I am going to use the Fireman on a roan x-ray vision cow. I might use some hereford on a couple shorties for fun too. Last year I put Firewater on a white shortie cow and she had a roan heifer. Them shorties do crazy things to color patterns!

I have used Tiger one year with success and Johnny Walker the year before that with success. This year I used Troubadour and got one really good heifer, a good bul,l and one heifer that I will put in as watching for progress. ( this one was a Meyer 734 daughter)  not the shorthorns I am needing help with. I would just like more power, so looking for a steer bull hopefully with more power. Cant keep track of all the Heatwave sons and such so still looking for any suggestions.

Damn Proud seems to be working I posted some of his calves a while back.
Alias at Stud. I thought for a mature bull he looks good. Lots of natural thickness etc.
Alta Cedar First Blood. Didn't down size for me and worked really well on my Johnny walker heifer. Loud roan.

This is a purebred red factor charolais calf from Canada - owned by Thomas Ranch, Polzin and Slack Ranch. If you have seen the post I made of him awhile back, I have been a big fan him since i first saw him. He is barely a frame 6, wide topped, Im sure free of any defects (since he is a purebred Char) and didnt have a huge birthweight. If you want red factor charolais look to Canada - there are some bulls just as good as white bulls. Firewater isnt red but is siring some really good calves up here.

Not sure about the marketing plans but maybe some semen will be made available on Polzin's upcoming Spring Thaw online auction - he usually lets a few straws of his new bulls sell.

Really like the looks of the Damn Proud bull. I wonder if he is available in Canada?

Besides Troubador, Johnny Walker Red, and Tiger Woods. You might look into these bulls. Think I like Orange Char cross bulls best for your scenario. Nutter Butter is a Monopoly out of PB char cow. Should add power, moderate, and add body if those SH cows can bring the style.
Nutter Butter- orange TH/PHA free Monopoly X Char
Copper Penny- orange TH/PHA free Chunkey Monkey
Tabasco- solid red TH/PHA free Jakes Proud Jazz
Man On A Mission- solid red TH/PHA free Who Da Man

LASH OUT
Sired by Heatwave out of C17 This half brother to Whiplash is stout, sound, good bodied, and CLEAN. He would work great on a group of Shorthorn cows. www.whiteroostercattle.com

Red/ White bull called VooDoo Daddy.  3/4 Shorthorn -Heatseaker x Kool- double clean.  I believe he'll work better for heifers though...

Now were getting somewhere. Who is carrying the semen? Do you have a photo of the other side to see the markings. I know it dosnt make any difference just curious. Also how about a straight on head shot, would like to see the shape of his head.
