Dont use Johnny Walker Red, there are reasons he never got used  :-\. I know he is an older bull but our Direct Hits were always smaller made with good fronts and usually really stout. I have seen several My Turns this year that all look to be the right kind, i would think about using him.

I like the Johnny Walker Red's that I have & the ones that I have seen.
  My Turn won't downsize.
As far as using any new bull, it would be a crap shoot. I would be looking for a proven bull that sires the traits that you were looking for. JMO.

Im still thinking Walks Alone. She has plenty of rib and from what I've seen of the WA calves I am pretty impressed.

In general, WA isn't downsizing calves as was expected. He is breeding more like his full sibs look liked last fall @ Wade's.

This might be the wrong color for you , but Kris Blacks TROUBADOR  bull will  definitely do this an is not a better structured , sound bull around an very ease of calving ....very sound bull with great disposition ...

Freddy another bull that I think may fit the bill, that I have been hearing good things about is Bauman & Derouchy's bull, Felony. Sired by Kojack, 3/4 Char 1/4 Maine out of Yellow Jacket's full sib.

I like the Troubador idea. And is there a picture of Yellow Jacket's full sib?

There is a picture of that female as a calf in Kris Blacks spring catalog from three or four years ago.  She sold at the side of her recip.  Real nice calf, I'm sur she is an impressive cow.

Anyone seen calves out of Felony yet? I liked him at Denver last year, and if he didn't toe out a bit, he would have probably been in my top 2 for favorites.
