Bull to heifer Ratio

so far what has the ratio of the sexes of your calves been...so far 11 heifers to 3 bulls here and a friend of ours has 16 calves on the ground and 14 are heifers.

So far 3 bull and 2 heifers. With 5 to go yet. Compared to last year 1 bull, 8 heifers. Talked sternly to the bull about this ratio. So far he has done better for me. I wanted bulls.

I wish we could get 4 times the heifers that we do bulls....we ALWAYS breed for heifers, and I'll be darned if we don't usually get more bulls. Good thing most of the bulls we used can make some decent steers.

THIS IS FROM OUR FALL CALVING LAST FALL, (OUR FIRST YR BREEDING CLUBBIES) OUT OF OUR COWS WE HAD 27 BULL CALVES TO 9 HEIFERS. REALLY SURPRISED US NOT MORE EVEN. <cowboy>

Right now we are at 5 to 5. Usually, we have more bulls. Luckily, we have been able to sell our bulls as breeding stock.

We have one bull on the ground. The past couple years this has been bull haven...I hope we get some heifers! OF COURSE...the mother of our Mucho bull had a bull.

The heifer born last Thursday broke the streak of 13 straight bulls.

11 heifers to 6 bulls. Last year we started like this and then had a huge streak of bulls and ended with more bulls than heifers.

So far we have 6 heifers and 4 bulls, unfortunately we have bulls where we wanted heifers and vise versa.
