The Answer is a purebred Angus bull with very good
Epd numbers.

Pick a bull with high accuracy numbers for
calving ease.

Dead calves are most difficult to sell.

I would consider Rito Tremendous 0V42:http://www.quakerhillfarm.com/herdsires/RitoTremendous0V42.html

What's the heifer's pedigree?  Is she big/small?  Big boned, fine made, etc.  There's so many calving ease option for Angus you might as well try to compliment her type as best you can.  Everyone is right though, a live calf is worth the most regardless.

Why would you recommend a bull that is DDC when there are so many clean options?

Oops!
I goofed.  I forgot to even ask what breeding she is and what needs improving...
I just remember seeing some calves from him and liking them

The heifer is small. She could use some more hair and muscle in her rear end but other than that she's a pretty solid made heifer. Oh , and this week I'm showing her at the NILE as a commercial angus heifer in the AOB.

If you are looking for a calving ease bull that will add muscle, hair, and muscle I would use either hf tiger 5t or sav bismarck. Have calves out of both both bulls do all of the things you have listed and are very proven. Bismarck will add more frame than tiger in my experience but both side very attractive calves.

for the Angus breeders how would HF Kodiak 5R work in this situation?  The angus brreders I know have told me he is easier calving than Tiger.

Mark H - I would recommend HF Kodiak or Soo Line Motive (another really good Kodiak son) over Tiger in this case.  Both are easier calving options that should give you a good calf.  Tiger will add more bone than motive or Kodiak due to the TC Freedom influence.  I'd say they will all have better feet than Bismarck, but won't be as deep or quite as angular fronted.  Udders are impeccable from all of the Kodiak bloodlines and Bismarck, with a slight edge to Bismarck probably.
