My brother was talking about buying a Red Angus bull that ended up being sterile. He said something about 60% of the bulls developed there were sterile. Anybody hear about this........and/or was anything figured out in this deal?

They get them too fat trying to make that "eye-popper".  This restricts thermoregulation in the testicles because of fat deposition and makes them sterile.

I have clipped a lot of bulls over the years that have been fed in feedlots for production sales. As far as I know there have not been any problems with fertility. The owners I have clipped for always have them fertility tested at the end of the feeding period before I clipped them and only the ones that passed went into the sale.

There are some interesting articles out there on this subject.......I don't know how to list them.
