Have a Mo Better female that is built a little more terminally than I would like. Great muscle expression and decent width.  She is clean fronted and has a wonderful udder.
Looking for a bull to breed her to that would add a more maternal phenotype to the calf.  She is is a mid to low 5 frame three year old cow.  Last calf she seemed a bit small in the cervical area, but hoping that was the first calf heifer issue.  Either way, it is something that we are looking at as well.  Any ideas on bulls that may help in this area, or that you have had work on Mo Better cows?  Thank You

LN - thank you.  First thoughts were to try to avoid DO or at least get him down the line a bit.  Herd is, i know this may sound crazy, kind of heavy with DO lineage. There are some younger bulls out there but....  They are just that, younger.  Thank you again.

What about Grandmaster? We have a SWEET heifer (you will see her this show season as a pair) out of a more terminal type female (our Pacesetter cow x Bling). The cow lacks in guts but has plenty of power, and the calf is just flat out good (right now!). We are definitely using him more, just picked up 10 more straws on him. I will post a pic of her, she is a mid-feb so about 3 months old right now.
Another bull that we have seen good results from was Real McCoy (and I have some semen on him if you need). Our heifer that won OEF was by him, and out of Bling. I think if you had a cow with a little more power he would certainly add some gut and femininity. Ellington Domintator might be a good click also, he is an Olie son that has some nice females out there. We had one calf by him that looked really good, out of a more terminal heifer (Summer - our Summer Sister x Macho cow), but lost the calf before we could really see her develop.

Are you going to Fairgrove this weekend?

Considered him.  Still fishing though.  We will see about the show.  Ball season is going strong right now.  Not sure our girls will be ready.  Maybe one of these days they will be.
