calf's name

I know this subject has been run into the ground. I just wanted to share our name for our red Hard Core heifer. She's going to be Apple Core! I'm sure it will get shortened to Apple but thought this was a cute one.

wow! you totally lost me on that!

When I was a kid (a very long time ago) whenever someone finished eating an apple they would say 'apple core'. Another person would say 'baltimore' and the holder of the apple core would throw it at the other person.  Sounds like it was a regional game....

don't ask! dumb move yesterday trying to get woody to come in & slipped on ice. Left side of my body black & blue. At least I didn't hit my head like I did last week. I've had so many x-rays & cat scans I'd probably light up!
The Baltimore is definitely a regional thing!

We've got one that is named Lucky Charm so we shorten that to L.C. Which turned into Elsie ( get it) ?

Rotten to the Core also describes some of my best friends--especially when they think up practical jokes!!

Red, I think we need to wrap you in bubble wrap and ship you from one SP member to another just to keep an eye on you.  Dang it, take care of yourself or we'll get a posse together and come out there!!

I for one will be at the Ohio Beef Expo, maybe I will have to follow Red around with a basket of pillows just for safety's sake (lol)

Tape the pillows to her, and then wheel her around in a wheelbarrow.  That would be HILARIOUS.

You know I am a true Shorthorn man, if I was pushing Red around in a wheelbarrow I would be required to spend way too much time looking at the Maines (lol)

Heck, she likes the RED ones..she'll live if you tote her around the 'horns for a bit.  Just bring that big ole red cow of hers to the expo and strap her to the top of the cow.  She could ride around in style all day. 

lol- hubby wants to buy me one of the foam helments. I can just see me being wheeled about in a wheelbarrow! Trouble is that someone might think it's for manure & throw some on top off me!!!
