Calf calm ??? What or how does it help the hair? I have read on here (steer planet) to use it to keep hair. But how do I use it, how much do I use, do I use the paste or the powder kind?    ???

Maybe you're thinking of melatonin?  It is used both to help calm cattle and to help grow hair...  If you're using the tablets (you can buy them in the herbal medications section at Wal Mart, among other places) to aid hair growth, most try to give around 50 - 75 mg a day (10 - 15 of the 5 mg tablets, or 15 - 25 of the 3 mg ones).  You can get it in a iquid formulated for cattle in Grow-N-Shine, and I believe in other supplements as well.
