It is a good product that we use with some of our show animals. It is very similar to Showbloom but has been around a lot longer. We use Showbloom also but we dont use them together. We are on the verge of switching entirely to calf manna because it cost half as much as showbloom.

Calf Manna is made by Manna Pro. It's sold in most feed stores & outlets though.
It's good for improving the feed's palability & increasing consumption too. The use a licorice flavoring which is supposed to be very palatable to livestock. It has a good balance of minerals & vitamins also for extra hair, health & vigor.
I used to feed it a lot until I got a really good complete feed. Now I don't add anything. I'm finding that by adding too many different products you can't actually take away some of the value in your feed. Also run the risk of having a unbalanced ration.
Manna Pro though is a good product especuially for younger animals.

No, not at all! Always feed a mineral & salt no matter what ration you are on. The Calf Manna will provide some extra for that bloom but is not to intended as a replacement for a good mineral & salt program!
I always provide a free choice mineral & access to a salt block even if I feel my ration is complete. They will generaly eat what they need if offered.

I use Calf Manna a couple of different ways - I mix it with my creep feed and I sometimes put it in a hanging bottle with a pellet nipple (like when there are a bunch of twins) - I will also add it to feed if a cow needs to add a little condition after weaning a big calf - plus I like the smell! I also decided after playing with all sorts of mixed and bagged and dry minerals my life is a whole lot easier with mineral barrels or tubs - I prefer Crystalyx Brigade - I put a 4 pound block of white salt in each. It also comes in 60 pound tubs (that can be re used for feed pans) and I put one in each pen when I wean calves....it is simple, weather doesn't ruin the mineral and it is cost effective - and I don't have to worry about minerals :D :D :D

At feed stores affiliated with Cargill, I think, or, maybe, is it ADM-Alliance Nutrition?
It's a Nutrena Product, by Cargill. Go to a horse feed dealer, they should have it, or, get in for you.
