Such a nice evening I took a few pics (sorry for the cell phone qualtiy) tonight as I checked out the cows.  Does everyone else just find walking among the cows and calves as relaxing as I do?

The Dirty Harry is a 50% Simmy out of a Legacy cow.  The Lut is out of a pure-bred Limi.  3rd Calf Eye Candy, 4th Total Solution, then a Northern Improvement steer.

I've saved thousands on therapy sessions by just a good walk thru the pasture!  Sooo relaxing good group of calves!

How big was the Northern Improvent calf? I just had an Angus heifer A.I. ed to him. Heifer was about 950-1000 lbs. I am most concerned with this being a safe pregnancy because this heifer is the first one my daughter raised from birth. Needless to say she has a tight bond with her.

Don't worry with Northern Improvement.  He is a solidly proven calving ease bull.  The calf pictured is out of a maine cross cow and he came at 75 pounds.  Just don't over feed the grain and you should be just fine.  Hope for a heifer and your daughter will have another good one to raise!
