I have a month old calf that eats great, seems alert and healthy but does not seem very sound footed when walking.  He seems real unsteady when walking around, almost like he is drunk.  He has been this way since he was born, I just kept thinking he would grow out of it.  An ideas what this could be?  Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Has anyone heard of pneumonia causing leg swelling?

I have seen navel infection cause swelling in the joints. Yes the knees. Antibiotics call vet to check. Usually shows up sooner.

i have seen this happen with one of my steers. The vet gave him a shot of lasix in the ear and it went down within two days

Have you tried giving it any thiamin. We had same type of thing a couple a years ago I gave 5cc's and it came  out of it. Check with your vet. Just something to consider.

I had the vet come out Sunday morning.  He diagnosed the calf to have pneumonia, he said sometimes pneumonia can get into the blood stream and cause swelling.  Has anyone heard of that?  We gave him Resflor and some LA200.  He seems to be feeling better, but the rear leg is still swollen in the leg near the flank,  not sure if it is a swollen muscle or vein.
