We have a fall of 2016 born heifers we have been shown a few times and she rides the calf in front of her all the time. She is confirmed bred 2 1/2 months so we know she is not in heat. She has placed very high all times but is just naughty.  Yes my daughter babies her beyond believe but she said that is what she enjoys so I don't have the heart to tell her not to baby her. Is there any suggestions you have for us.

I would say give her a tap on the nose with the handle of the show stick, if your daughter will do that. Plus make sure to stay at least a calf length if not more behind the other calf so you have some room to correct her or turn her before she gets to the other calf. You may want try what we did with the hogs at the fair, we put a dab of Vic's Vapor Rub on their nose, seems  all the gilt's would come into heat by showmanship, the Vic's blocked the pheromones so they did not fight.

Thanks for the comment vc. We have been doing this for a long time and have never had this trouble but never thought of the Vicks. Makes sense. Will try. Thanks so much.
