Only if the Moms are not too worried about the dog. You may get one of mommys head coming straight at you trying to get the dog hiding between your legs.

Ha, Trust me I am very aware of that, had a dog who was NOT any kind of cattle dog, get in between a calf and his momma once. That dog didn't come close to that pasture for a long time.
