I am currently in the process of AI'ing my cows and I am just stumped on what to use on my PB Angus cow. She is real long fronted, deep bodied, and sound. She is also a decent sized frame cow. She needs some bone, muscle, hair. Now here is my dilemma I am currently building a clubby herd but I am also needing to establish a steer market. Each year out of the herd bulls she has a good calf but it's never good enough to be shown or kept as a replacement. I would like to have a smokey colored calf, due to that being the big thing down here in TX, but if I could get a better calf out of a black bull then so be it.

Bulls I was considering was: Milkman, Uno Mas, Heawave, Smilin Bob, Smoking Bob, MAB

Female: Chill Factor, Chopper, whiskey Son.

I know y'all all have some experience so just let me know what y'all think. And which direction I should go

For bone, muscle, and hair, you can't go wrong with Monopoly, but with him being 1/2 Angus that could either help you or hurt you in the steer market with classifications down there. A heifer out of monopoly would be nice too since it would be 3/4 Angus. I've seen lots of Solid Gold calves winning shows down there and I don't think he gets used a lot, so he would be a viable option also.

What about Firewater, he is a charolais, with lots of winners under his belt, and the calves should be smokies out of an angus.

I like the firewater suggestion or if your looking for simmi upgrade may do the things you are looking for better than something like chopper

Personally don't think Firewater will work ,not soft enough look and to much power on just Angus cow ...Maybe his son Turton would fit better , also Solid Gold could sure work , a young bull that looks good to me is YELLOWSTONE that is Genetic free and by Troubador -Hoodoo breed ....Yellow Jacket is also a free bull that works well on Angus ...

We are getting a ton interest and positive feedback from your area on this new bull. Proven genetic package and should throw some baldies, smokes and color with power and look.
