Except in Canada. I have no idea what the science is regarding this. In Canada we cannot register calves off of cloned animals. We cannot eat the meat or drink the milk from a cloned animal. Meat from, an animal that has cloned animals in its genetic make-up are not allowed into the food supply.  It is illegal to even clone an animal. I remember hearing about some clones to some $1 M + Holsteins that had their milk poured out for several years and with two different governments running the country, they will not budge on changing this law. Does anyone have any idea why this is the law in Canada? What has these bureaucrats so scared?
It is just a matter of time, until some unsuspecting Canadian breeder buys a breeding animal in the US and finds out that he cannot use it or register calves from it. I am also thinking that if this is caught at the border, the animal with cloned parentage may not even be allowed into the country.
