He's out of Bonanza, not Pioneer. Last I heard they were planning to take him to the show. There is a mature pasture picture of him on Facebook and he still looks good.

I'll try to get one tomorrow. He looks pretty good I'd say he was fed pretty hard for this but he was out breeding cows before coming here. Looked him over today would maybe like to see him a bit longer bodied and a bit more bone mass he does have a good foot size and heck of set hanging under him.

His butt pic u have is representative of him.//// MANY THANKS FOR THE PICS AUBURN-I think he will do alot of good-and feed or not-along with no hair-he looks good to me. He's one that has been out with the cows at a fairly young age-and for the naysayers who will invariably comment about his neck length-he's the type needed to put on frail hardoing shorthorn cows-HE Will: ad thickness, ad guts and rib, and LOWER BWS-and is 3ways clean, along with being mostly outcross from strictly performance cattle.Saskvalley ? Canadian x Jungels etc. O0

Reviving this threat. What is the opinion of this bull today? What does he do well?

I have been wanting to use a white SH on some of my Sim cows, to get the roan color and just something different. For those with experience, what does he work well on (conformation wise).

Thanks

We only had 2 manimal calves, the other was a steer out of a commercial Holstein/Hereford cross. He had really good muscle shape considering his dam always looked more dairy than beef. I've got 2 Big Sky calves this year and I like them more than I liked the Manimal calves for the Bulls being half-sibs... but this is a pretty small sample size.

JSF Broker is roan on his pedigree.  Most likely he is what we used to call "dark roan," that appears red from a distance.  Broker sired a roan heifer for us out of a red cow, so his pedigree must be right.

Where did this picture go?

Looks like I linked it to here from someone's Facebook page. Not sure why it's missing and can't remember what the picture was, but google shows a few pics of the bull on their Facebook page. Couldn't find a pasture pic though.
