This calf is a Steel Force x JS First Lady 1U. It is her real eye color, as far as we can tell she can see perfectly and always knows where you are. Has the pop and attitude that will make her fun. Sure to be in someone's show string this summer.

In Angus cattle this is a genetic defect:

Heterochromia Irides (white eye)
Cattle usually have a dark black iris because of dark pigment in the eye. White
eye is a condition where the pigment of the eye is absent, giving the eye a white
or silver appearance.

I had one like that going back a long time ago, great heifer who did really well for us. However we where at a local show, the judge placed her last because "Her eyes gave him the creeps." Which to this day is one of the funniest reasoning I've ever heard.

The heifer is a purebred Simmental.  Out of the Steel Force bull and JS First Lady.  Dam goes back to the CJ Superman bull.  The JS First Lady is one of our flush cows who's progeny have done very well in show ring.  In past 5 years we have raised several heifers and bulls that have placed well in National, State and local show.  At Fort Worth 2014 we had champion produce of dam with a heifer and bull, top 20s at the AJSA Classics and Regionals, Missouri State Fair champion heifer & division winners.  Only Simmental heifer to win the Mo Cattlemen's high point heifer 2 years in a row.  We'll have several fall heifers that will be weaned in March for sale.  If interested let me know as we have open house first of April.  Send email to [email protected] if you want invite.

Never seen this before in cattle until last month. I went on a tour of several farms in KY, and Rocking P, the Phillips, has a cow with what they called "cat eyes". Then, our last farm we visited that week was Misty Meadows, and low and behold he had a cow with the same white eyes. They look spooky! Both owners said the cows have yet to throw white eyes on any calf they have had.

Our bull from that mating, the Steel Force x JS First Lady, has three calves on the ground now, all 90 days old or less, and we found a set of horns on one of the heifers yesterday!!!! Now, we have not been at this that long, but this is the first calf EVER that we have had that has horns (we had a bull with scurs once)! I was shocked, the dam of the heifer has had 7 calves, and we have not seen a set of horns yet from her but obviously the bull and cow are heterozygous polled to throw a set of horns.
