Hauled livestock over the road for many years, just to answer a few questions asked, yes you need health papers, brand papers out west and yes you must stop at all ports of enrty / weigh stations. As far as rates go they can either go by the mile or by weight. Every time I've loaded out west the brand inspector is right on the ranch watching as we sort and loaded.
