There are lots of ways to consider to preserve the life of your cellphones. Precautionary measures like proper casing and protector gears should be used. Don't over charge the phone to prolong the life of the battery.

The problem with cell phones is they rely on the politeness of the people who own them. Meaning: If I am standing there talking to you, especially business, DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL. If you do, I will leave and take my money with me.
If I am standing there and your cell phone rings, and it is important (meaning IMPORTANT such as health issues) then say excuse me I will be right back. Answer the call, get the message and get back to me within 60 seconds.

If you are clipping a calf, working cattle, or doing some other TWO HANDED JOB, and the call is not important, DO NOT ANSWER it (Again, look above for exception).

Some people thinks it makes them look important to always be on their phone trying to "multi-task".... I think it makes them look desperate for friendship (I mean, the people who are calling are not actually THERE with the person.... )

I like my blackberry, but if I don't answer, leave a message because if I am doing something, I am not going to answer, and  (SORRY HIT WRONG BUTTON AND POSTED) I will not call you back unless you do!

(By the way, texting is the same thing)

No one mentioned the Droid. .... that is my ONLY access to the internet from home (and what most of my messages here are written on). Great phone, I have had it since January and love it. During the fair last week and this week i was able to keep up here and my email because of my Droid.

are the Iphone or BlackBerry tough enough to actually take with you?  I want a phone I can throw in my pocket and not worry about it.  I want one tough enough to actually use it.

I have a blackberry, with the tough Otterbox (google it). I have dropped it, stepped on it by accident and actually ran over it with a tractor (it still worked by the screen was broke).  So yes, IMO, the blackberry is tough!!

I bought the Motorola Quantico, supposed to be the the military spec model.  We'll see.  Supposedly you can drop it in the stock tank and it'll still work.

I agree on the Droid, and firesweep, there is an app called pdanet that you can use with a $2 cord from the phone store for a modem for your pc.

About like me dropping it in water for probably 20 minutes, and looking all over for it, before I thought to look in the puddle by my truck. I pulled it out and it was still working! Only a week old at the time, It's now closer to 6 months, and has been battered and beaten regulary. Been through 3 of them in the past 3 years. Not bad seeing as I went through an LG scoop every month for 2 years.

I don't understand the poll either, but for phones, I love my iPhone. It has made it much more convenient to keep up with my friends and customers. It also allows me to get back to people faster, be it by email, text, or even FB. Plus my contact information is much more organized.

I also have an iPhone and I purchased it in an Apple store. It has convenient features to use. The phone is good for business purposes because it provides all the applications we need.

just got an Iphone 4.  Seems to be nothing short of great!! I am still learning/feeling it out but for the most part it is easy and straightforward.  Access net quite a bit usually hooking to wifi where I am at.  helps to save on data plan. as far as business is concerned.......  works for now, great video and pretty good HD pics.

The iphone is unmatched, ive had a blackberry and blackjack, but my Iphone changed everything. It is awesome, unmatched in every category. As for business, they make everything easier, email, internet, everything right there. They are easy to break, however the Otterbox is made for them also, and it is very tough. I still wouldnt take it with me while working cows LOL
