Aj I am glad your my most devoted follower... I could produce A LOT more pictures as I am very proud of our herd (and biased about it).  When someone is proud of their product they like to show it off just for the heck of it.  I try and keep it on the one thread so if someone doesn't want to go there they don't have too. <beer>

Jaimie, please keep the pictures coming. The pride you and your family have in your herd is refreshing to say the least. You have right to be proud of your cattle and what you have accomplished with them. If only a few more people had as much enthusiasm in their breeding programs!!!Hopefully, your positive attitude will rub off on a few others!

I like the Frimley Nyla Clare. <party> <party> <party> <party>
She is a great cow. Sired by Mandalong Super Flag she was one of the calves in the last calf crop bred by my Dad. She is out of Cactus Flat Clare 11C, a daughter of Broome Quality (also an Australian bull) Clare 11C had herd bulls in both Canada and Scotland and her first calf by Ramsholt Red Hot 5C founded the Clare family at Crooked Post. The Clares like the Baroness family go way back to one of the first cows in the Canadian herd book, Beauty (30).

aj if you insist I will post every cow in our herd  ;D I am in the process of getting everything redone for our website and one of my goals is to have video and pictures of every animal at Diamond.  <beer>

Now in return all I ask is take off the cheer leading outfit and perhaps show some of what your cattle have done :p

Videoed and pictured is Frimley Kitty Clare 43K 11 years of age

I have yet to see any of aj's cattle pictured on here. He certainly offers his comments on everyone else's though. Maybe we should buy him a camera. I'm serious when I say that I would really like to see some( or all) of his cattle. I don't get to Kansas very often so I would appreciate some pictures.
Jaimie, please keep posting your pictures. I enjoy everyone of them and it gives me a great view of your herd. IMO, that is great! If you want to take the time to post pictures of every one of your cows, I will take the time to view them. It is a great way to learn and I'm all in favor of trying to learn something every day. It has been a few years since I visited your herd and after seeing the pictures, I know I have to get back there soon to see them in person. Your herd is one of the few I have ever bought from where every animal has bred well and been profitable. The cow I have now that originated in your herd, that I am real pleased with, is Frimley Rene Dottie 72R by Diamond Master Plan 41M. She is a really good one!

Thanks JIT, I do believe that when you have time that you should come and visit!!  What did Rene have this year?

The only information I have got regarding Sodhouse Cattle Co is from AJ's website which contains very little information aside from the fact that he had a RWM bull with high Maine influence (his full sister) and an RWM cow also with high Maine influence and then he has posted an Red Angus bull and some Durham reds.  I am assuming that Kansas is tough conditions but that is all I can get from one page.

Diamond Whittney Maid 14W and Diamond Yaman 5Y

Whittney weighed 1198 weaning Yaman and he was 670lbs at 202 days that is 56% of her body weight not bad for her first year of production.

This 14W heifer is from the Maid family we got from Winalot and always seems to give us some of our top producers. The Diamond Regal Legend 4R heifers all appear to be heavy milkers but they seem to have bred back and next year most of their calves will be by Glenford Captain 39X and Diamond Prophecy 21P so it will be interesting to see the results. 14W is one that is bred to Captain 39X. Her dam 6L is a ten year old daughter of Eionmor Chief 16H and has a nice Prophecy heifer calf this year and real good Diamond Temperature Rising 28T heifer in the yearling pasture.6L also has a daughter producing at Prospect Hills and a son working in a large commercial operation.

Its nice when a heifer pulls threw and produces like that congrats
Thanks, it's usually a pretty good indicator when they start off like that.
You had mentioned the Diamond Wild Anna 61W in an earlier post. Jaimie got videos of her and her two maternal sisters. They are 11 years, 3 years and 2 years old. Their dam was a great producer and 61W was her last calf. We called them Anna's but when you go back in their pedigree they actually derived from the Westburnt Vesta family of Delf Brothers.

Here is the dam of the three females above pictured at ten years of age with a Northern Legend 3N bull calf. She produced in the herd until 13 when she had the 61W heifer.

The second photo is one of my favorites. It is taken by Ralph Larson Y Lazy Y, Montana and is of Diamond Merry Anna 4M, an Eionmor Chief 16H daughter out of the Diamond Anna Y2K cow above. 4M was 2K's calf as a two year old. One of Merry Anna's sons, YY DOVERS CHIEF Y134W, (by Dover,DRC 101VM) is a herd bull at Dover Ranches. Y Lazy Y really does look like God's country with that scenery!

I have heard that people that have lived in this country, have been a bit disappointed when they die and go to Heaven!

It isn't much surprise that many Hollywood types are buying up a bunch of this part of Montana

NEWBIGGON XTREME SUSAN 16X is a heifer I have been working with for almost 2 weeks now getting her ready for the All Star Classic Oct. 22 http://www.donsavageauctions.com/allstar.html for Newbiggon Shorthorns.  Up until 2 weeks ago she was just on pasture, and never had been tied up.  Susan is perhaps one of the most docile and rewarding projects I have ever had the opportunity to work with a great reminder of the rewards reaped from working with Shorthorns.
