Thanks for the quick look back! I'm living about 50 miles west of Cherokee currently as a transplant from SW Oklahoma and it is a great part of the country with great people.

The Oakwood cattle from Ohio-captained by CB Teegarden were the thickest most unique (partially because of thier pop eyes-never to be reproduced) Shorthorns of the 40s-through the mid to late 60s LES Mathers just wasnt in that league-They had more International champions -and everywhere else than anyone ever-except possibly for the TPS-Thiemans-and Leemon Stock Farms-who are still very active. I remember CB Teegarden and he allways had a long pipe he smoked-:and the cattle were just so much more fluid and natural APPEARING than the squatty fat cattle like Acadia farms etc had out. He was like a god to me-and I was afraid to talk to him-the cattle they had just blew everything away at the time: and I wish I could find semen on some of thier larger bulls O0
