I'm doing this club calf thing again. I finally have time to follow everything and pay better attention, did the commercial thing for a little while. So what I'm tryying to find out is if there is any certain bull that ya'll think would work best on some just good using commercial cows, mainly angus, no barn burner cows just good cattle, I have a few calves out of Carpe diem and he did fine, but I've been looking at Believe in Me and Walks Alone. Open to any suggestoins though. Thanks for the help.

Kingfisher is a small place, but i'm not sure that I know you? Are you from there?

Are your cows TH, PHA free? Being commercial they probably are clean but you might be careful with it. Smilin Bob is one that I have seen some good ones out of, you may look at him. I like Believe in Me but I haven't seen many calves out of him, he is still young though, not sure how many he has on the ground. Someone else on here will be able to answer that better than me.

I would be curious about Troubadour, he will make them a little straight every now and again, but again on a more commercial herd I doubt you would have trouble with that. But he may throw you a couple smokes that are really marketable right now. Alias is another that would do that.

I think both of those bulls would be choices. I had used Sunseeker several times on commercial cows and never had a bad calf. He isn't as popular as others but we got some really good heifers and the steers always grew great. Sold some heifers and kept a few and also kept one for a bull out of an angus cow and he is throwing really low bw, nice calves.  I also never had a single calving problem with Sunseeker.
