Did a search on him and a lot  of people seemed concerned about the grow he puts into his calves but most were older post. I have not heard much about him lately but really love the looks of the daughters in Griswolds sales.I guess I'm just wondering if anyone's opinion on him has changed at all and if they have had calves how they looked?

I had four chopper calves born this past fall.  I had three heifers and 1 bull.  The birthweights were 75 to 90.  I am keeping the three heifers.  These calves have convinced me to breed more simmies.  The calves dont look as good as calves out of showsteer sires when their born but they will pass them up and leave the clubbies and outgrow them by fifty to a hundred pounds at weaning. One of the heifers won her class at her first show last week. Just dont use chopper on a cow that is a disposition problem or you could have problems.
