Anyone have experience with this bull?  Specifically with Angus females.  Does he pass on enough thickness?  Thanks.

Had one "born" last week out of a first calf heifer that weighed 122.  Hip locked, cow prolapsed, vet bill, out of a heifer that i bought in Nebraska in November. Win some lose some.

How are the heifers turning out that have hit the ground?  Don't think your 122 lb is representative of the bull, is he labeled calving ease for heifers?

WE HAVE 2 CHOPPERS ON THE GROUND OUT OF SIMMY COWS. BEST 2 CALVES ON THE PLACE. HE CLEANS UP THE FRONT AND MAKES THEM DEEP AND SQUARE.  ALSO GIVES A BALDY FACE BONUS. THEY WHERE BOTH 80 POUNDS.

he'll keep a front end looking nice, patterns well, not enough body, not stout enough.... i dont like clubby stout hfrs but still. Friend bred him to some stouter made angus/simm and they came out lookin nice. You'll need a power cow for him to work overall.

i should rephrase that " i dont want my females to be stout like steers"  (i dont like clubby stout hfrs)
apologies..... i like a balanced female

Just had our chopper calf this morning. It was a bull calf out of a first time wave on wave heifer. it was at app. a 95lb calf. we ended up calling the vet for assistance pulling it. it pulled really hard, but calf looks really good!

Look @ the Freddy's post above, "they won't get to big".

There is a full sib available named Custom Built. I think Felt's own @ least a part of him.
We have had good calves out of Rock Solid. He is a ful sib to Chopper & Custom Built's dam.  ZKCC raised him & Cattle Visions handle the semen on him.

Woody makes his cows work like cows should. most of the breeders I know that have used him love him, but the BW have been high. The 2 that I have seen this year were out of angus cows and both over 90lbs (cows only ate hay). calves I seen out of him last year in the pasture were very impressive, they looked better than the clubby sired calves, just as thick, sound, but not as hairy
